Liberals in America have been quick to rush to the defense of LGBTQ groups in the US and abroad. Showing support for the very groups who would kill them simply existing, these special leftists are pledging their support for any cause they think will get them attention. Offshoot groups like Qu*ers for Palestine often don’t realize that they are shedding tears for the people who oppress them here in the US and slaughter them at home with no hesitation.

Yet, after the Parliament of the West African nation Ghana passed a bill banning people from identifying as LGBT, they have been stone silent. While they are still awaiting President Nana Akufo-Addo to sign it, he has publicly and privately pledged to do so. Ghana already punishes gay sex with up to three years in prison, but this new bill goes much further.

According to BBC and Reuters, identifying as LGBT would land someone with a three-year prison sentence. The “willful promotion, sponsorship, or support of LGBTQ+ activities” earns them five years, and finally, 10 years for directing an LGBT message towards children. A passage encouraging the public to monitor and turn in suspected incidents was also included.

Sponsors from this bill come from numerous backgrounds and include Christian, Muslim, and “Ghanaian traditional leaders.” The Christian Council of Ghana and the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council issued a joint statement about the bill. They state that LGBT is a foreign concept to the Ghanaian family, and since they aren’t familiar with it or accepting it as a part of their culture, they won’t allow it.

Watching the liberals being so silent in the face of such direct and blatant hatred for their LGBTQ community is incredibly shocking. Perhaps since they left the “Q” off their bill it didn’t hit their Google outrage alerts?
