Across the US, students have been getting more brazen by the year. Years ago, students would barely dream of speaking out of turn to them for fear their parents would find out they were disrespectful. Now Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools is investigating an incident at Parkland High School where a student slapped a teacher twice, and it was caught on tape.

In the video, the student can be seen approaching the female teacher as someone else encourages him to go after her for seemingly a second time.

After slapping her, he said, “I don’t know what the f***’s wrong with your b*tch a** [inaudible]. You think that affected me any [inaudible]? You want me to hit you again? You want me to hit you again?” After affirming she didn’t want it again, multiple times, he struck her again. Telling her he wasn’t going to play and calling her names, her response of “And do I look like I care,” was excellently timed, and let him know how little he means.

Trying to keep a lid on things with a letter sent to parents, the principal essentially made excuses for the behavior.

“Hello Parkland Families, this is Noel Keener, Principal at Parkland High School. I am calling to let you know that earlier today, our administration was made aware of a disturbing video of an inappropriate and unsettling interaction between a student and a teacher being circulated on social media. Our administration has started an investigation immediately in conjunction with our law enforcement partners at the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office. The student involved in the video will face disciplinary action in accordance with district policies and procedures. The student may also face criminal charges.”

Further shaming students and parents who may see the video and share it, they instead claim they want everyone to report it. They want it taken down and removed from the internet to protect themselves. Kudos to this teacher. She took two strikes and didn’t retaliate. This kid needs to learn his place, and hopefully, since he thinks hitting a woman makes him a man, he gets sentenced to be housed with the adults. Gen Pop would have fun with him.
